Our thoughts and prayers are with the families today for whom there is now an empty seat at their dinner table; our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the many, many people who were injured and whose lives will never ever again be the same, and our thoughts and prayers go to those incredible people who did not hesitate to immediately assist those injured as what they saw today will forever be etched in their memories.
Words fail me this evening as to the senseless, cowardly acts that were carried out today at the Boston Marathon.
At our house our children are taught to take not only responsibility for their decisions but also ownership. Right or wrong the final decision is theirs and they must own it and live with it.
To those responsible for today’s heinous actions I say stand up and be accountable. If you thought you were clever enough to create such cruelty and destruction, then stand up and show your face, be a grown up, be accountable.
Sadly there is no logic for such cruel behavior and will forever beg the question… “mum, how much longer?”
