Day 3 of the 7-Day Nature Challenge is getting up close and personal with a sand crab we came across when first digging our toes into the wet sand on our walk to Pincushion Island on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
The lovely Desley Jane of Musings of a Frequent Flying Scientist has nominated me for this wonderful challenge. As I keep saying, do visit her fabulous blog if you aren’t already familiar with it.
In turn I’d like to invite Linda from Living with my Ancestors to join in. Linda, who although has quite the four-legged family, fortunately still finds time to share captures of her beautiful surroundings with us!
What a fun challenge! I love your photo for this one. 🙂 I might have to do this challenge. 🙂

You MUST do it Megan – not that we need another excuse to look at mother nature but it really does make you look twice at things… well, for me at least it did, lol! 😄

Goodness, I have to biggify to see the crabby creature. Great shot.

He wasn’t shy at all like most sand crabs, he actually allowed me to get as close as my camera lens would allow. One of those times I wished I’d had my macro lens instead of the zoom. That could be why he wasn’t scared of me though, I couldn’t get that close, lol!

I love both photos in this post. The textures in your feature are wonderful and the crab is sooo cute. Thanks so much for the shoutout each time.
