As the clock slowly moves closer to Christmas Eve and the smell of baking fills the air, I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone for making the time throughout the year to visit with me here. I am so very grateful!
Here’s to a very happy and healthy 2019!
Time is ticking. It won’t be too long before Santa has to dust off his special red suit before heading off on his annual world-wind trip around the world.
There’s only another four more sleeps before we’ll be waking to find the Christmas stockings filled and the soon to-be tried Pumpkin Praline Pie to be consumed… woot woot!
Christmas is so close. You can feel the excitement in the air as the days are ticked off the calendar. Everything looks that much prettier after a coating of Christmas.

Things are getting serious now. Only one week and counting before Christmas is officially upon us. Sadly, Christmas is going to be over before we know it.
This wire gift is just one of a set of four. They were bought after our first Christmas in Canada. Thinking back, I think they were actually the store’s own decorations and rather than putting them away, they sold them. Lucky me!
When I first bought this reindeer, I immediately christened him “Stumpy”. It seemed like a really good idea at the time given his woody appearance.
However, now with Olaf is sitting on his back, he’s been renamed Sven. Given that I’m a HUGE Frozen fan it simply could not NOT be done!
This plush little blushing Santa is so very colorful in his suit of pink, blue and green. He was bought when we unexpectedly found ourselves in Australia for Christmas, celebrating another two, before moving to Canada.
Our belongings had been packed up months earlier for transporting to Canada. Then came the GFC, postponing our move. Christmas was in two weeks, decorations were needed. It would be four months before our belongings returned to us.
Don’t you just love this unicorn we picked up last month at the local Christmas Craft Fair? It is so, so cute. Every time I walk past our ornament tree I can’t help but smile at it.
