Disposable rather than scrubbable! (Macro Monday)

Thank goodness for disposable oven liners. The oven that came with the house says it’s self-cleaning. Perhaps in its day it was but since we moved in, self-cleaning is not option.

Reusable is always preferable over disposable but when it comes to the inside of an oven… I’ll take disposable every time!

Raindrops out my Window (Monochrome Monday)

Wow, has it really been that long since I posted anything that I’ve forgotten what to do? Uh-oh, wish me luck!

This capture is from the tree, a Fir perhaps (please advise if you know), just outside both our kitchen and side-deck windows.

Monochrome Raindrops

There’s just something mesmerizing about watching the raindrops cling to the end of each leaf after a rain shower. It’s as if Mother Nature has strung her very own fairy-lights over the tree as the drops glisten in the sunshine.

Morning Raindrops (Macro Monday)

This is the same photograph I used earlier today for my Monochrome Monday. For me it’s one of those photographs that I just couldn’t resist doing in both black and white and in colour. And once again I can’t decide which I prefer.

Morning Raindrops

As I was writing up my post for Monochrome Monday it was definitely the black and white I preferred. Yet as I sit typing up this post, I’m now drawn to the mass of violet and green hues towards the top left corner. Decisions, decisions, lol!

Morning Raindrops (Monochrome Monday)

There is nothing quite like seeing raindrops hanging from plants. For me it’s like a visual confirmation that the plants grooming needs have been met having been all watered and cleaned.

Morning Raindrops Monochromatic

How blessed are we to be able to walk outside our backdoor and see this natural beauty within arms reach? Yes, we are truly, truly lucky {sigh}.

Time to Make Tracks (Monochrome Monday)

Close to where I took my photograph of the Forgotten Shed for Robyn’s One-Four-Challenge, are these railway lines. From this angle the lines seem to go on forever.

Time to Make Tracks

It’s such a shame that it’s only freight trains that come in our little town as it would be wonderful, if only for the summer months, passenger trains could also rumble down these tracks!
