First lock of the Panama Canal crossing (Tourist Time)

Having found our position at the very front of the ship, we were determined to stand guard, watching intently at each and every aspect of the going through the locks whilst crossing the Panama Canal. We weren’t disappointed, it was AMAZING!

Grinning through hurricane winds at Peggy Cove! (Tourist Time)

On our way to New York our ship needed to make an unscheduled stop in Halifax to wait for Hurricane Sandy to pass. The up-side was we were able to visit the graves of the Titanic passengers and to visit Peggy’s Cove. As cold and blustery as it was!

Water water rafting in Costa Rica (Tourist Time)

That smile on my darling daughter’s face says it all. We had the BEST time white-water rafting in Puntarenas. The animals we saw along the river in-between shooting the rapids were absolutely incredible. Even those crocodiles swimming beneath us!

An afternoon on the Thames! (Tourist Time)

Bus tours are a fabulous way to see many of the sights in London in a short time. Combine that with a bus that turns into a boat well, it’s a win-win. The modified WWII amphibian vehicles were a great delight to both children and adults alike!

Sledding Lapland Style (Tourist Time)

Something we would have loved to have brought back with us from our Christmas in Lapland were the sleds they used. They were like a chair  on skis. You’d push the back of the chair until you had a speed you were  happy with then stand on the skis. Just brilliant!

Borgarfjörður Puffins! (Tourist Time)

Where we lived in East Iceland was just a couple of hours away from Borgarfjörður, a tiny village with a bird estuary that provided a fabulous nesting ground for puffins and other bird life. For us it was the puffin that held our full attention!

Water painting on our Florence terrace… as you do! (Tourist Time)

When the weather is nice and your Florence apartment across from the awe-inspiring Duomo has a terrace, what else does one do but a little water painting. That is painting on the warm ground with sponges of water. Good times, good times!
