Apricot Blossoms (Macro Monday)

Rather then adding to the greys outside, for Monday’s this month I thought I would go with some colorful macros to brighten things up!

These were just some of the many beautiful blossoms that were adorning the apricot trees at our kasbah in southern Morocco. Delicious jams made with the previous seasons apricots were enjoyed with our breakfast each morning.

Time for a little Christmas Light (OWPC – Light)

It’s that time of year again… time to dust off and drag down all the boxes of Christmas decorations that have been safely tucked away in the attic for the year.

It’s time for a little Christmas color, time for a little Christmas clutter, time to light up Christmas. Let the Christmas Countdown begin… woot, woot!

Light is the One Word Photo Challenge from Tourmaline this week.

Cloudy Monday Mornings (Monochrome Monday)

Daylight savings finished for the summer here yesterday. It’s just in the nick of time given that winter will unbelievably be here next month.

Although I’m still wrapping my head around the fact in this day and age the seasons begin during the month not on the first of the month when I grew up. Or maybe that was just a southern hemisphere thing!

Early Morning Recreation (A Photo a Week Challenge: Recreation)

When in Australia there’s nothing nicer then taking an early morning walk following the river out to the ocean. On this particular morning there was myself, a fisherman, and a stand-up paddle-boarder.

Each of us doing something different, yet all happy in our chosen form of recreation. Recreation is this week’s A Photo a Week Challenge from Nancy Merrill Photography.

Summer Stunner! (OWPC – Hippo)

How gorgeous is this beauty, sunny themself near the water’s edge. Having only ever seen hippopotamuses standing in the waters of Africa, this was the first time I’d ever seen a hippopotamus out of water. It was incredible!

The turkey vultures standing nearby a little off-putting however. Are they standing guard or waiting for the meat to bake in the midday sun I wonder?

Hippo is the One Word Photo Challenge this week from Jennifer Nichole Wells.

What a fox! (OWPC: Fox)

Early last month, Miss Fourteen and I attended a pottery painting class. Whilst I chose an owl piggy-bank to add to hubby’s owl collection, darling daughter chose this fox. Isn’t it sweet?

The rainbow forming a heart around her face and chest darling daughter painted is so gorgeous! Fox is the One Word Photo Challenge this week from Jennifer Nichole Well’s.

And it just so happens it’s my darling girl’s birthday today – where did those fourteen years go?

💖 Happy Birthday beautiful girl! 💖
