In order to see the bears feeding at Fish Creek, it was necessary to stay in Stewart, almost on the border of Canada and the States.
However, before you even reach Stewart you experience Bear Glacier up close and personal as its right there on the side of the highway into Stewart. Tourism at its easiest!
In Stewart itself we chose to stay at Ripley’s Inn. The accommodation was made up of an assortment of old shops that have been converted to quite stylish rooms. The outside areas also display an array of old interesting bits and pieces.
With tourism its biggest source of tourism, the town has made the most of its quirkiness.
You can’t help but love the place!!!
