When planning our time in Morocco, the Sahara Desert was my objective, Ouarzazata was simply where we were flying in and out of.
Having hired a car to do some exploring on our own, we took the opportunity to drive around Ouarzazata and walk around the town.
The spice shops we wandered through were intoxicating. As was all the pottery and rugs for sale. The colors were all so vibrant!
Outside Ouarzazata is a centuries old Kasbah that has been used as a back-drop in a multitude of movies. In fact there was a French film crew on site when we visited, not that inhibited Young Sir’s need to climb!
Ouarzazata, not everyone’s first thought for Morocco, but so well worth the visit!
