Las Vegas is another of those places that never held any real interest for me but rather was somewhere that I felt I needed to go as so many people asked “have you been?” From the moment we arrived in March 2013 where we were met by our super-stretch limo, Las Vegas had me immediately reconsidering my thoughts on this city.
Then we arrived out our hotel the Bellagio. Oh yes, I do so love Vegas! This was Darling Daughter and I enjoying our first moments after hitting the pavements.
That evening we went and saw our second Cirque du Soleil show, “O”. It was incredible how the stage could empty and fill so quickly. I’d love to see it again as we’d had such an early start that morning there are moments of the show that are blurred.
Our first morning in Las Vegas was also Easter Sunday so we treated ourselves to breakfast at the Jasmine Cafe which sat almost on top of the Bellagio fountains. For this breakfast the fountains are programmed for every fifteen minutes plus you have the added bonus of the music playing in the background of the restaurant. Fantastic! Almost as good as the food!
But the fountains at night – I could barely contain myself!
Las Vegas – LOVED IT!!!
Never actually ventured there, just Lake Tahoe… a mini Vegas on the Nevada/California border. Had fun though, to my surprise – wasn’t my thing either, lol
