Today was spent at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and what can I say… it ABSOLUTELY BLEW OUR MINDS – it was simply brilliant!
But where do I begin? Perhaps the Tree of Life which greeted us as we first looked into the park and seemed to be always in our peripheral. How many animals can you see “carved” into the tree?

We loved so many of the African animals, particularly these three wise men.

We first saw these next guys only a few days ago in New York at the Natural History Museum but here they were now – alive and well!

Then there was this next adorable creature…

On our “African Safari” this sun-baking beauty caught our eye…

Then there was this family!

I should be embarrassed to say, but I’m not, that I was more excited than the children on seeing Kim Possible’s friend Ron’s, Naked Mole Rats!

But we were ALL excited with this gentleman!

We waited and waited for the Meerkats to stand up as one always tends to see in all the shows but it wasn’t to be… lucky they’re cute!

And we loved the originality of these two Asian birds…

But could this be the result of animal overload???

Yes, there were loads more animals we saw and loads more that we did: Tricera Top Spin, Primeval Whirl, It’s Tough to be a Bug, Kali River Rapids, Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade, even Finding Nemo – the Musical but what really had my head exploding was… the Everest Expedition!
(Yes, that’s me in the top left-hand corner – I rate this ride the same as the Green Lantern at Movie World… ugly… very ugly indeed).

All I could think of whilst on this ride was… “mum, how much longer?”
