My determination to get at least ONE cruise into an album this summer is proving all-consuming at present. One consolation is that I’m “re-acquainting” myself with all the photos from our east-coast of North America cruise.
This photo is from when we were sailing into Boston. The weather was bleak as Hurricane Sandy was only just retreating from New York.
Yes Hurricane Sandy! This certainly didn’t make it ideal weather for cruising. We’d watched for almost a week with utter dismay as the horror continued unfolding on land, all the time wondering… “mum, how much longer?”
It was actually last night (Thursday) that we flew to Los Angeles so that today we could board our beautiful ship for our “once in a life-time“, “another-tick-on-the-bucket-list” experience of sailing the Panama Canal!
As I’m anticipating today to be rather hectic I’m hoping as tomorrow is a “sea day“, our personal favorite, I’ll catch you all up on our adventures of today tomorrow!
In the meantime, could sailing out of Los Angeles be as memorable as that of sailing out of Boston Harbor. Oh the lighthouses; oh how I do love a lighthouse!
Little or big, I really don’t mind. I just LOVE lighthouses!
I’m not sure what to expect sailing out of Los Angeles, as to me LA and LAX go together like bread and butter, so as for the Port of Los Angeles… utter bewilderment.
All my questions will soon be answered though as looking at the clock departure time is scheduled for now soooooo… “mum, how much longer?”
