The other day on closing our washroom door I couldn’t help but laugh when I noticed this.
In my haste one week-end to tidy up before visitors descended upon us, things went wherever they could with this being the end result – a batman mask hanging beside my cupcake shower cap.
Well, I though it was funny, lol! 🙂
Walking out onto the balcony of our ship’s cabin the last thing I expected to see going past was a submarine preparing to submerge!
Then again, we were sailing into the port of Cartagena, Columbia, perhaps I really shouldn’t have been surprised…
It’s embarrassing to admit but we must have been half way across this cross-walk at Tofino,Vancouver Island before I noticed we were being followed!
As to why there are sharks escorting pedestrians across the road I’m not sure, but there’s no denying, it certainly makes crossing the road a tad more interesting!
Has society really come to this? Do we really have to state the obvious?
Seriously, if we aren’t told, we won’t know? I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Whilst driving to Tofino, Vancouver Island, we couldn’t help but notice this painted figure on an electrical pole as we passed it.
From a distance this figure had you looking a second, even a third time. The closer we drove to the pole-art (mmm, is it just me or does that sound a tad wrong …) the clearer the figure became. A little less intriguing perhaps but never-the-less no less interesting.
This will come as a complete surprise I know but I’ve been going through my photos from our family adventure up to Churchill last year. And believe it or not, it wasn’t just all polar bears, there were a few other things as well.
This sign being one of them and seemed more than appropriate for Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge.
Not making light of the danger which could lurk below but I look at this sign and immediately start waving my hands around and saying… “Danger Will Robinson! Danger! Danger!”
When attempting to escape the hot, burning sun of Huatulco, Mexico via the shade of the trees, we happened upon this gentlemen standing guard outside a shop.
It was love at first sight for Darling Daughter and myself. If we could have stuffed him into our beach-bags we would have. Oddly, he reminded me of George Clooney’s Batman with those unnecessary nipples!
What I most love about traveling are the unexpected things you happen upon as you explore a new city.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt when it happens to be Halloween in New Orleans – what a hoot!
