These flowers were outside in the gardens of the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibition in Seattle. It was the end of the day, the sun was setting and people were not wanting to stop whilst I took my happy snaps.
Consequently I wasn’t particularly happy with any of my photos. That was until I transferred one to my phone. Oh the joy of photo editing apps… they breathe new life into anything!
For something different this month, rather than editing photos of my fresh flowers, I’m going to be using flowers from the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibition we visited in Seattle at the beginning of the year.
Chihuly’s glass is magnificent without editing. However, in this instance I couldn’t help myself by upping both the contrast and color just a smidge!🤣
The shapes Chihuly creates are simply amazing. Size is definitely not deterrent either to this remarkable artist. What I find even more incredible are the magnitude of colours used!
When wandering through his displays at the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibition in Seattle, there doesn’t appear to be any favoured colour. Every shade of every colour of the spectrum are used. Truly beautiful!
Colours is this week’s Travel Theme from Ailsa at Where’s My Backpack?
Walking outside through the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibition in Seattle, as breathtaking as the glass sculptures were, the living plants were equally as interesting. Particularly the tiny ones.
These succulents were so tiny they could easily have been missed. It was only this feather, making the small even tinier, that drew my attention to these delightful little succulents.
From the moment we walked into the Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle, we were repeatedly left both speechless and in awe. The sheer magnitude of some of his work was mind-boggling. The many colours and various techniques extraordinary.
The dark walls, the mirrors under the exhibits, the streaming of Italian music, all combined with this magnificent work of Dale Chihuly created the most delightful ambience. Ambience is this week’s Photo Challenge from the Daily Post.
