A Woman’s Work (26 Week Letter Challenge: W)

This week it’s the Letter W for the  26 Weeks Letter Challenge hosted by the lovely Lori Bravo over at Let There be Peace on Earth.

It’s interesting how Women and Work came to mind when thinking of the letter W. The work undertaken by the women in Morocco is astounding and rather frustrating at times when you see the men sitting around drinking mint tea!

Visiting Versailles (26 Weeks Letter Challenge: V)

This week it’s the Letter V for the  26 Weeks Letter Challenge hosted by the lovely Lori Bravo from Let There be Peace on Earth. This image of the children the day we visited Versailles came to mind. It was such a long day yet they still had a blast.

A Man, a Mule, and a Mountain (26 Week Letter Challenge: M)

This capture seemed more than appropriate for this week’s 26 Week Letter Challenge hosted by Lori Bravo at Let There be Peace on Earth for the Letter M. The fact we were in Morocco when I took this photograph sealed the deal!

A Man, a Mule and a Mountain

This would have to be one of my favourite captures from our visit to Morocco. A man riding his mule with the majestic mountains as his backdrop.

On this particular day we’d hired a car in Ouarzazate to drive up to the Atlas Mountains. The children in the back giggling whilst Hubby and I gushed over this and that. It was a day filled with incredible sights and the most delicious food!

Flowers against Time!

This would have to be one of my favorite photographs of our week-end away last month as it captures the beauty of today with the buildings of yesteryear.

Flowers against Time

The wildflowers on the sides of the roads here in British Columbia always astound me with their natural beauty during the summer-time. I’ve never known such a charming assortment.

Although not the biggest fan of summer {understatement}, when it comes to the road-side flowers I’ll make an exception and will be the first to ask when it comes to their longevity… “mum, how much longer?”
