Excuse me? (WPC – Pedestrian)

The rules don’t apply so much when you’re young. You like to think you go where you want, when you want. Especially when you want the best seat in the house for the view. There are no consequences to your actions… until of course, there are!

Thanks to this little rebel, hubby is now going to have to re-roof our “summer-house” (and I use this term VERY loosely) sooner rather than later as we now have little hoof-holes like stars in the night sky allowing us unhindered water views.

Pedestrian is the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for this week.

Down in the grass! (Travel Theme – Grass)

Monday morning I was momentarily glued to my spot in the sun room. There was a deer lying down in our very grassy backyard. This in itself isn’t unusual but there was something in her position that wasn’t right, it worried me.

I held my breath looking for clues as to what was the problem and what I should do. Then… two little heads popped up!

My mama deer had not long ago given birth. These little darlings were still wet and wobbly on their legs it was so beautiful to watch. Immediately I ran downstairs, woke the children and had them upstairs to view these little wonders of life.💞

From Above (WPC: Atop)

Ever get that feeling someone is watching you? This is exactly how we felt a couple of weeks ago whilst we were outside. Although in all honesty they were more than likely watching the apple pieces we were throwing, not us!

As we were feeding a deer from our front porch to the right of our driveway, atop the neighbours driveway to the left, two sets of eyes were watching our every move. Not that they stayed there long. We soon required loads more apple pieces!

Our Backyard Elder (OWPC: Elder)

It’s been a few weeks since Big Buck graced us with his presence in our backyard and even longer since I took this photo of him sitting, basking in the afternoon autumn sun.

What’s interesting is, whenever he does come to visit now, he seldom comes alone as he was here. It’s intriguing how he always comes with an entourage of the same additional four, Little Buck and three does.
