It can be a little hit and miss when taking a photo of the moon at the best of times.
Then, when you’ve only just woken to see there’s only a matter of moments before the moon drops below the horizon with no time to adjust camera settings, well then, it’s all very experimental as to what the result will actually be!
This was our Harvest Moon earlier this month. It. Was. GLORIOUS! Not that you can really tell though from this capture 🤣, but I do still like the silhouette of the trees in front of the moon even if it is a little out of focus.
Experimental is The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for this week.
Having just completed the final inspection on what has become our home here, the children and I treated ourselves to lunch at the marina. Whilst waiting for our lunch we saw this beautiful rainbow just outside the window.
Little did we realize, this was a peek into our future. Our future of living on the harbour – rainbows over the islands, fishing boats coming and going, and there always something to see!
PEEK is the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge for this week.
This past summer I was more than a little intrigued by this huge metal buoy attached to the barge holding the larger supplies required for the maintenance of the nearby ferry pier.
Looking at this buoy now, perhaps a seagull or two floating past may have helped to give some perspective as to just how big this buoy was. It. Was. HUGE!
No matter the day of the week, no matter the weather, seldom a day goes by without me seeing at least one fishing boat out on the water. Off to catch whatever particular fish is in season on that day.
The fishing boats come in so many shapes and sizes, always providing me with something to admire and just occasionally photograph!
