Drip, Drip (Monochrome Monday)

The silver-lining to snow having frozen to any foliage it had fallen onto, is watching it slowly melt. Drip by drip, drop by drop, it’s as if it was never there.

And given we were at the bottom of the driveway, unable to drive up due to the amount of ice covering it, there was plenty of time to watch the melting, lol.

Long time coming… (Monochrome Monday)

How glorious it was to wake up to a world covered in a dusting of snow yesterday. It was nothing quite like the epic six-foot we had in one 24-hour period in Kitimat last February but we didn’t care. It was snow!

It's been a long time coming!

We had the beauty of a fresh snowfall without any of the shovelling or worry. It really was quite delightful having the opportunity to simply sit back in the lounge chair appreciating the beauty surrounding us before it disappeared.

Liquescent Liz!

Since it’s been a month, along with some darn fine hot weather of late, thought it was high-time for an update on the Lovely Liz and her subsequent shrinking snow deposits!

Mt Liz Expiring - her snow almost gone!

There’s still a good couple of months before fresh snow will once again cover the Lovely Liz so maybe, just maybe those last few snow deposits might actually disappear.

The question is though… “mum, how much longer?”

Excuse me but Liz is Derobing!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like a heat wave and as I look out my kitchen window at Mount Elizabeth it appears she’s beginning to feel it also. She’s looking rather naked!

That time again when Liz gets naked!

Let the experiments begin as to which works faster – hot temperatures or lots of rain. No, there’s still no rain on any weather forecasts of yet for the coming weeks but a girl can dream {sigh}.

When it comes to Liz and her remaining spattering of snow, the question is… “mum, how much longer?”

Summer Thaw!

Watching as the clouds skimmed over the peak of Mount Elizabeth as the sun shone down upon her, was simply one of “those” moments.

Lovely Liz beginning her Summer Thaw!

The children may have begun their summer vacation a smidge earlier than intended but if that’s the worse thing to happen this summer, well, we’re doin’ okay!

Now it’s simply a case of waiting for the fishing rods and gear to appear beside the front door, followed by the dulcet tones of… “mum, how much longer?”

Liz shedding her Winter Coat!

Having been cloaked in cloud-cover since our return from vacation last week, to see Mount Elizabeth now with the sun shining down upon her, its apparent the snow is disappearing quickly from her.

Looks like summer really is on its way. Perhaps there’ll be no more asking… “mum, how much longer?”
