Here is my submission for Week 2 of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn Gosby at Captivate Me.

Vase of Yesteryear - Week 2

Last week after brightening the original photo, then adjusting the saturation and contrast and rotating the photo slightly, I substituted sepia tones for the colour. However, the vignette I then added altered the photos appearance more to grey tones.

Stylish Seed Pods (One Four Challenge: Week 2)

Goodness the weeks go by so quickly when participating in the fabulous One Four Challenge hosted by Robin at Captivate Me. This is my submission for Week Two.

Fur Balls - Week 2

Once again I haven’t done much editing, thanks to the bokeh already there, apart from my usual upping the contrast. And as you can see, for something different I changed the colour to sepia.

Snack Time (One-Four-Challenge: Week 2)

What’s that you say? Two weeks in just one week? Yep, that’s correct, and if you are doing your math, I’m still behind a week as I think it’s actually now Week 3. So without further ado, here’s my Week 2 of the deer in our back yard.

With my image for Week 2, I’ve cropped in even more then Week 1. Initially I was hesitant to crop so much previously as sometimes you can lose the sharpness of the image but fortunately this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Naturally I then also bumped up the contrast to intensify the colours but at the same time I added a heavy vignette as I wanted the focus on the young deer eating rather than the odd vegetation behind it. Oh, and I straightened the photo a tad!

This One Four Challenge is a fabulous way of getting back into posting and more importantly thinking about photo editing and what one really wants to achieve from a capture. If you aren’t already familiar with this challenge be sure to check out our gracious host Robyn and her blog, Captivate Me.

Morning Silhouette (October One Four Challenge: Week 2)

It’s Week 2 of Robyn’s One Four Challenge. It’s where we choose one of our own images, then each week for the next four weeks we process it in a different way. Hence the One Four Challenge!

This week I’ve altered both the Saturation and Hues of my photography to create the feeling of perhaps a pending storm. Not that I can remember but I’m sure I’ve bumped up the contrast. (I think that goes without saying now don’t you, lol?)

Forgotten Shed (One Four Challenge – Week 2)

For Week 2 of the One Four Challenge by Robyn I have to admit, with the children back at school this week and routines yet to be forged, I couldn’t tell you precisely what editing I’ve done this week except a little of EVERYTHING! 🙂

1-4-2 - Who knows WHAT I did!

At a glance I can safely say there was a little straightening, a change to sepia, the adding of a film frame, oh and not only was there some fiddling with the contrast in there but I fiddled with the hues and temperatures also (‘cause I could!).

Yesterday’s Beauty (One Four Challenge: Week 2)

Here it is Week 2 of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn at Captivate Me. Robyn’s challenge is to choose one photo of your choice then each week for the next four weeks, process it a different way.

This week I’ve adjusted the Hue, Contrast and Temperature of this image, intensifying the blue tones, giving the image a more “pretty” appearance (for want of a better description).
