Here is my submission for Week 4 of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn Gosby at Captivate Me.
This week I’ve cropped the photo, bumped up the brightness, deepened the colour in the flowers, and then added a haze to create a glow over the peonies. I then added a white vignette to remove any trace of the background images.
Below are my submissions from the previous weeks for comparison.
If you aren’t already familiar with this challenge hosted by the talented Robyn Gosby of Captivate Me, it’s where you choose one of your own photographs, manipulating it differently for the next four weeks. Be sure to check out everyone’s submissions for this month!
Seriously, are we already at Week 4 of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn at Captivate Me? This challenge always goes way too quickly for me!
As is my way, being Week 4 I did a little bit of absolutely everything. As I really liked last week’s crop I did that again then had some fun with the hue, saturation and contrast. Oddly, the more I did, the more the edits appealed me.
Below is my original photograph and all my submissions for comparison.
It’s the fourth and final week for Robyn’s One Four Challenge. This is where we choose one of our own images, then each week for the next four weeks we process it in a different way. Hence… One Four Challenge!
This week I’ve darkened the image quite a lot to create quite the stormy effect then brightened just the sand and sand-bags so you could still see the those details. And yes, naturally the contrast has been upped… of course!
Here is my previous week’s images, along with the original, for you to make your own comparisons.
Here we are already at week four of the One Four Challenge from Robyn of Captivate Me. For this challenge you select one of your own images then each week for four weeks, process this same image but in a different way.
For this last week I was curious to see how, or if, I could change this landscape photo into portrait successfully. I then decoloured the photo to give it an “old-world” feel and being me, tweaked the contrast to emphasize the colour there was.
Okay, so here is my original photograph and the previous three weeks of processing this image in different ways.
As always, I have a love/hate relationship with this challenge, I love how it pushes me to think outside the box but hate how it makes me really, really think. Now I’m off to find next month’s photo – told you, it’s a love/hate relationship, lol! 🙂
Here it is Week 4 of the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn at Captivate Me. Robyn’s challenge is to choose one photo of your choice then each week for the next four weeks, process it a different way.
For Week 4 it felt like it was time to mix it up I. For this week I’ve added both a Film Filter and a Light Layer which as always may not appeal to all but I kinda like the effect.
Here are all four photographs as well as the original.
As always, this has been a challenge but one I’ve really enjoyed. Thankfully there are five weeks in July so next week will be a “rest week” for me plus it gives me more time to search for my next photo.
