Being disembarkation day we chose not to hurry off the ship, lingering over breakfast, delaying the inevitable. Eventually we made it off, through the long line for cabs and to our hotel which thankfully had a room already available, yea! 🙂
Enticing as our room was we kept moving, knowing that once we stopped, we wouldn’t move again so off to the Pike Place Market we went.
The fish markets were everything we’d heard and then some but the most amazing part, it didn’t smell like fish!
A little way along was the flower market – this was just but one stall – wow!
Whilst there we visited the original Starbucks but there was such a line out the door we couldn’t see the point in hanging around so had our caffeine fix at a trendy little cafe nearby before heading off for lunch at the Hard Rock then caught the monorail to the Space Needle.
From the observatory deck above, which by the way we shared with all the volunteers who were being thanked by the city for helping with last month’s mud slide, we saw Tom Hanks‘ house from Sleepless in Seattle. I’ll let you decide which one it is, lol! 🙂
When we first docked this morning Seattle seemed huge but as we wandered back to our hotel it had quickly become “do-able”, Miss Ten and I already planning a return visit. Now it’s just a case of… “mum, how much longer?”
