Something we would have loved to have brought back with us from our Christmas in Lapland were the sleds they used. They were like a chair on skis. You’d push the back of the chair until you had a speed you were happy with then stand on the skis. Just brilliant!
Over this summer vacation I’m taking trips of another kind. Of a Thursday I’m traveling down memory lane, reminiscing a little about all the traveling we’ve done to various parts of the world as a family!
Honestly, when you are able to pack the car up after school with the children and their snow gear to drive just a few miles to this… how lucky are we?!
Miss Nine really began to find her groove today with the snowboard – it was so great to see!
As for Master Eleven, he too also began to find his groove with his new skis!
What was really lovely though was after they’d made their way back up the hill for the last time, both children flopped in the snow to enjoy munching on some fresh snow!
Yep, we are lucky and we are blessed! And yes, they’d both had so much fun this afternoon that the chant on the way home was… “mum, how much longer?”
