After days of torrential rain and gale-force winds that striped my maple tree of all its leaves within a matter of hours, the sun is now shining, reminiscent of summer days that were. Days when dews drops glistened under the morning sun.
The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge this week is… ROUNDED.
Slowly but surely I’m catching up with all the wonderful photo challenges I was once participating in.
It’s been quite awhile since joining in with the wonderful One Word Photo Challenge hosted by Jennifer Nichole Wells but there seemed no better time to jump back in then with this week’s word… BEE!
This capture from last summer came immediately to mind and when amazingly I found it on my laptop (since we’re currently away from home and my external hard-drive) I knew it was meant to be.
One thing I don’t miss about Australia is the long, hot summers. On saying this however, I do rather like being able to walk along the beach early in the morning before the hustle and bustle of the day begins.
Summer is the last of Jennifer Nichole Wells One Word (Weather) Photo Challenge words. It’s been absolutely fabulous, and indeed challenging at times, matching photos with her weather words.
Next week we have the chance to choose our own image, then it’s onto a List of Animals from A to Z – now there’s a challenge one has to accept, lol! Be sure to check out Jennifer’s blog yourself to join in, the links below.
For what seems to have been for the longest time now, I’ve watched one lone deep-pink snapdragon in a hanging-basket of mine stand tall amongst the dying debris that was summer. It’s beautiful.
Yet on downloading my photos, this beauty was simply not being conveyed in any of my images. However, on removing the colour for me the beauty was returned.
If you’d like to join in the Fav Foto Friday, simply head over to Scribbles and Musings. What better way to end your week then with your favourite photo!
