A new day brings a new beginning. A day to begin a new project, a day to begin planning a new adventure, or sometimes it’s simply a day to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
In the encouraging words of my darling mother… sometimes you just have to live each day to spite those who don’t want you to. My mother, our very own ray of sunshine!🙃
Rise/Set is this week’s Photo challenge from The Daily Post. Be sure to click on the icon below to see more fabulous interpretations of this week’s challenge.
Until this challenge I hadn’t appreciated not only does our home in Canada has views of water out the back complete with islands but so does our place in Australia. Albeit one tiny island on the left of the horizon but hey, it’s an island!
Island is the One Word Photo Challenge this week from Jennifer Nichole Wells.
This week it’s the Letter U for the 26 Weeks Letter Challenge hosted by the lovely Lori Bravo from Let There be Peace on Earth.
To know the sun will rise and set each day is simply not enough. Especially when you witness such understated beauty from mother nature like this of a morning.
To join in the fun of this challenge simply create your own interpretation of Lori’s letter of the week with as many photos you like then title and tag your post with 26 Weeks Letter Challenge.
Regardless of what happened yesterday to anyone, and what could be happening tomorrow to any one of us, each and every day the sun still rises to announce the beginning of another new day.
There’s been more than one occasion where I’d much prefer to pull the covers back over my head, pretending time has stood still. Alas, time never stands still and regardless of what’s going on in your life or mine, the sun still rises to greet us.
I have nothing but ADMIRATION for Mother Nature who continues on regardless, like so many other mother’s in every country around the world each and every day!
When a sunrise like this greeted us of a morning whilst we were away, it seemed to give the day just a little more oomph you could say!
Yes, the future looked bright when beginning with such a glorious light. Quite fitting for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge of… FUTURE!
Watching the sun rise last week over the ocean, the clouds surrounding it seemed undecided as to blow on through or to stay, allowing the skies to pour down upon us.
Eventually the clouds disappeared but as the sun climbed above the horizon, the sun’s rays reflected on and behind the clouds was more than a glorious sight to behold. What a way to start the day!
Yesterday morning there was an extraordinary orange glow coming through the lounge-room shades. Peeking through the shades, the source of this glow was quickly discovered.
The sun was slowly rising, casting the most glorious HALF-LIGHT over the river and ocean before me. The silhouettes of those already out enjoying the morning, including the various species of birds, reconfirming why this is my favourite time of day!
Last Saturday morning we needed to be up and going very early, something none of us were particularly happy about. However on looking outside our moods quickly changed.
On seeing the magical colours covering the sky, providing the beautiful backdrop for the vast assortment of dancing clouds, an immediate harmony descended upon the family.
Our destination was met on time with a good time being had by all. Plus this morning skyline provided a perfect capture for this week’s Daily Post Challenge Word of HARMONY.
