It’s not that it never rains here but for whatever reason last week, the raindrops on the pine needles had me completely and utterly transfixed.
However, it wasn’t until I sat down and began editing my raindrops that I noticed up in the top right-hand corner of this photo a beautifully woven spider’s web!
Ever get that feeling someone is watching you? This is exactly how we felt a couple of weeks ago whilst we were outside. Although in all honesty they were more than likely watching the apple pieces we were throwing, not us!
As we were feeding a deer from our front porch to the right of our driveway, atop the neighbours driveway to the left, two sets of eyes were watching our every move. Not that they stayed there long. We soon required loads more apple pieces!
Atop is The Daily Post Photo Challenge this week.
It’s been a crazy few months for our household and by no means is it over yet, but at least I feel there is now some semblance of “structure” to our chaos thus I’m allowing myself time to breathe. Or at least edit some photos, lol!
One of my most favourite photography challenges has been the One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn of Captivate Me. It’s where we choose just one of our photos and over the course of four weeks, process it four different ways. Here we go!
For Week 1 of the February One Four Challenge I’ve cropped the photo of a deer in our backyard into portrait-size then bumped up the contrast considerably… as is my way!
And as you’ve probably gathered, we’re well into February now so I’m playing MAJOR catch up. Hence Week 2 shall be coming up in just a couple of days. Oh how time flies when you’re having fun!
Today Was a Good Day is this week’s challenge from the Daily Post and looking out my kitchen window this morning, I am already declaring exactly that!
As the sun rose behind my mountain, the clouds were continually moving, constantly changing it’s appearance. As the mountain peak became visible, flocks of seagulls began flying past, heading down towards the nearby river.
Yep, definitely no argument here. It may only be 7.30 in the morning but after viewing this incredible sight from Mother Nature herself, it will be enough to sustain me until bedtime. Today was indeed a Good Day!
Well maybe just a little introduction if you aren’t already familiar with him or this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge which is… ROY G. BIV.
This is the acronym for RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, INDIGO and VIOLET, or as I prefer to say… “all the colors of the rainbow“!
Originally my plan was to post just one VERY colorful photo but as looked around me yesterday morning I couldn’t resist creating my rainbow from my very own surroundings.
How blessed are we to be able to walk freely amongst such beauty? Such a glorious world!
