One of my favourite visions of the world is when it’s covered in a blanket of snow. As the wrapping slowly melts, it reveals the wonderful gift beneath of the earth and all her beauty.
This was the corner of our backyard only last month. A tranquil sight of a reasonably thick covering of snow over the earth combined with the morning light filtering through the branches.
Earth is The Daily Post Photo Challenge for this week.
What a glorious surprise it was last year to look out the window to not only see this beautiful sunset but to also witness the silhouette of this unique boat paddling past.
Surprise is the photo challenge this week from the Daily Post.
Regardless of what happened yesterday to anyone, and what could be happening tomorrow to any one of us, each and every day the sun still rises to announce the beginning of another new day.
There’s been more than one occasion where I’d much prefer to pull the covers back over my head, pretending time has stood still. Alas, time never stands still and regardless of what’s going on in your life or mine, the sun still rises to greet us.
I have nothing but ADMIRATION for Mother Nature who continues on regardless, like so many other mother’s in every country around the world each and every day!
When a sunrise like this greeted us of a morning whilst we were away, it seemed to give the day just a little more oomph you could say!
Yes, the future looked bright when beginning with such a glorious light. Quite fitting for this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge of… FUTURE!
Yesterday morning there was an extraordinary orange glow coming through the lounge-room shades. Peeking through the shades, the source of this glow was quickly discovered.
The sun was slowly rising, casting the most glorious HALF-LIGHT over the river and ocean before me. The silhouettes of those already out enjoying the morning, including the various species of birds, reconfirming why this is my favourite time of day!
Last Saturday morning we needed to be up and going very early, something none of us were particularly happy about. However on looking outside our moods quickly changed.
On seeing the magical colours covering the sky, providing the beautiful backdrop for the vast assortment of dancing clouds, an immediate harmony descended upon the family.
Our destination was met on time with a good time being had by all. Plus this morning skyline provided a perfect capture for this week’s Daily Post Challenge Word of HARMONY.
Of all the places I could find happiness and dare I say it, tranquility, it’s at the kitchen sink. However, it’s not for reason you may think. There’s no denying I am quite the neat freak but that’s not the reason I love my kitchen sink.
It’s the view of the valley and mountain beyond that I love watching. Mother Nature has truly spoilt us in this part of the world with her constant beauty.
Adding snow to this already beautiful scenery constantly leaves me gasping in awe. Then to add a majestic Bald Eagle, that is what they say… the cherry on the top! How blessed am I?
Looking at this forever evolving scene outside my window is definitively my Happy Place, this week’s challenge word from the Daily Post.
