An afternoon on the Thames! (Tourist Time)

Bus tours are a fabulous way to see many of the sights in London in a short time. Combine that with a bus that turns into a boat well, it’s a win-win. The modified WWII amphibian vehicles were a great delight to both children and adults alike!

Over this summer vacation I’m taking trips of another kind. Of a Thursday I’m traveling down memory lane, reminiscing a little about all the traveling we’ve done to various parts of the world as a family!

Sledding Lapland Style (Tourist Time)

Something we would have loved to have brought back with us from our Christmas in Lapland were the sleds they used. They were like a chair  on skis. You’d push the back of the chair until you had a speed you were  happy with then stand on the skis. Just brilliant!

Mural on a Grand Scale

Quite by accident we chanced upon this mural in the lower part of the Old Quebec City. It was absolutely magnificent!

Mural on a GRAND scale!

I love how the contradiction of characters all work together, be they from this era or from the 1700’s, it all works brilliantly. It’s incredible how the tourists almost appear to be as one with the mural.

Oh to be so clever to create something on such a large-scale, one can only dream… “mum, how much longer?”
